LHP and TÜV NORD have partnered to offer ISO 26262 training and certification under TÜV NORD`s market-leading “Functional Safety Certified Automotive Engineer” (FSCAE) program.
TÜV NORD is an internationally-recognized and certified organization with experienced professionals having many years of practical knowledge in functional safety and the relevant standards associated.
The ISO 26262 Functional Safety Standard is an international safety standard of electrical and electronic systems in production automobiles defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
As defined by TÜV NORD, producers of safety-relevant technical systems in the automotive industry are obligated to develop their systems according to all technical and scientific aspects of functional safety.
ISO 26262 defines the requirements of functional safety for electrical and electronic systems. The application of this standard leads to correlating documented safety evidence of conformity.

General Questions Regarding the ISO 26262 Training + Exam
Q. Do I have to appear in-person to take the training and exam?
A. Although we look better in person, classes are also offered virtually. The exam, however, must be taken in-person. Several exam events are scheduled to occur in Pontiac, San Jose, Anaheim, and Columbus, Indiana.
Q. What happens if I fail the exam?
A. Our friends at TUV Nord will directly communicate with you if you pass or fail the exam. If you fail, you get 1 re-take at no charge! Contact us to register for an exam event.
Q. Do I have to have a standard to take the training?
A. We highly suggest you have a copy of the standard. Half the strategy for passing the exam is being familiar with the layout of the standard and how to navigate it.
Q. I'm a software engineer...do I have to take all 4 days of training?
A. Nope! You can take 1 day or 3! Pricing is offered per day. However, you must attend all 4 days to be eligible to take the exam.
